Our 5 Days Tanzania Great Migration Safari for a thrilling experience of the great wildebeest migration in Africa. This migration takes place from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya in July-August and September.You’ll be able to view wildebeest migration closer and how they cross the river.Mostly visiting Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater home of BIG FIVE animals.

DAY 01: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha.

Time: 45 Minutes

Welcome to Tanzania.On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you’ll meet your company arranged driver who will transfer you to Arusha city to Green Mountain Hotel for dinner and overnight. Our driver will display your name on an Mupana Tours signboard. These procedures ensure that you are picked up by the correct driver, rather than by some of the airport taxi drivers who are looking for business. You’ll get a chance for  Wildebeest Migration Safari briefing/introduction before your dinner.

DAY 02. Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Non game-viewing travel time: 6 hours
Distance: 348 km

After breakfast early in the morning to your hotel the tour will depart to Serengeti plains, you’ll pass through Ngorongoro as you observe the Great Plains with vast animals in the park. Then continue to Ngorongoro crater passing through small towns and villages till you enter through the main gate to Seronera center. Check in to your lodge for lunch and relaxing from the long drive then come back to Seronera for the game drive in the late afternoon. You’ll be in your pop up roof safari vehicle viewing the wildebeest, lions, zebras, Elephants, Antelopes, and Giraffes among others. Dinner and Overnight at allocated accommodation as requested.

DAY 03. Full Day Serengeti Game Drive

Depending on the time of the year, we will observe the great migration which is a remarkable event commonly known as one of the seven wonders of Africa safari where millions of the wildebeest, 1000’s of the Zebras and other game move from one side to another. The biggest migration occurs from June to July in the Northern Serengeti when the Great herds of wildebeests and zebras eye predators warily as crocodile snouts break the surface of the Mara River . Dinner and Overnight at allocated accommodation as requested.

DAY 04. Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Non game-viewing travel time: 3 – 4hours
Distance: 176 km

Say good bye to Serengeti National Park. After breakfast you’ll have early morning game drives in Serengeti park and after the tour departs to Ngorongoro Conservation area. You’ll stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution, as one among of our Tanzania History. You’ll meet expertise who will provide you much information about human evolution History in the area. Later afternoon proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to your allocated accommodation for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 05. Ngorongoro to Arusha

Non game-viewing travel time: 3 – 4 hours
Distance: 145 km

After an early breakfast with your picnic lunch box from your lodge, you’ll descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You’ll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon after extensive game drive you’ll drive back to Arusha for dinner and Overnight.
