Tour Description.

5 Days Tanzania Great Migration Safari for a thrilling experience of the great wildebeest migration in Africa. This migration takes place from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya in June and July.

Day 1. Arrival in Tanzania

You will be met by Mupana tours and safari driver guide at the airport and be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight. If you arrive early we will have city tour around Arusha you feel the African city settings then go to your hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2. Arusha to Serengeti

After breakfast early in the morning to your hotel you will herd to Serengeti plains, you will pass through Ngorongoro as you observe the Great Plains with vast animals in the park. We continue our drive past Ngorongoro crater passing through small towns and villages till we enter through the main gate to Seronera center. Check in to your lodge for lunch and relaxing from the long drive then come back to Seronera for the game drive in the late afternoon. You will be in your pop up roof safari car viewing the wildebeest, lions, zebras, Elephants, Antelopes, and Giraffes among others.

Dinner and overnight allocated Lodge/Campsite/Tented Camp.

Day 3. Full day Serengeti

Depending on the time of the year, we will observe the great migration which is a remarkable event commonly known as one of the seven wonders of Africa safari where millions of the wildebeest, 1000’s of the Zebras and other game move from one side to another. The biggest migration occurs from June to July in the Northern Serengeti when the Great herds of wildebeests and zebras eye predators warily as crocodile snouts break the surface of the Mara River .

Day 4. Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you’ll get right on the road back towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your drive takes you back through the Serengeti via a different route, offering plenty of opportunities to spot the animals that eluded you on day two. As far as the eye can see, you’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators.

You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself; the lion.

Day 5. Ngorongoro to Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the eighth wonder of the world. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.

Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lovely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.

The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, Cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool then drive out and proceed to Arusha.
