9 DAY TOUR OVERVIEW:

All our 9-day Tanzania wildlife safaris and tours specifically include the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the world famous Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. This unforgettable Tanzania safari packages will take you to the Tarangire National Park, which once again features some of the greatest concentration of game in Tanzania – second only to the Ngorongoro Crater – but less crowded and unspoiled – possessing a wild and unkempt beauty.It will take you to the Lake Manyara where you can enjoy it’s tree-climbing lions.Also the tour will take you to Lake Eyasi where your culture activities will start by gathering with two hunting tribes-Datoga and Hadzabe the bushmen.

Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Distance: 43km

On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport our teams will great and pick you and transfer to Arusha city to Green Mountain Hotel as requested for dinner and overnight. You will get chance for briefing and introduction about your safari.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Distance: 130km
Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before you head off on safari. Afterwards you head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras.Later drive to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Eyasi

Non game-viewing travel time: 2½ hours
Distance: 90.2 km

After breakfast you will drive from Karatu to Lake Eyasi.Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi to Serengeti National Park.

Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast, the tour will depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then heard to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River,

which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Drive back to your campsite for Dinner and overnight .

Day 4:Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Full Day Game Drive.

You have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. You will be transfered from the wide open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, you will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

Early in the morning game drive and after depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. You will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution . Late afternoon transfer to your campsite for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6:Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu.

Distance: 51km
Non – game viewing time: 1 hrs

After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon transfer to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7: Karatu to Manyara Maasai Boma .

Distance: 27km
Non – game viewing time: 25 Minutes

After breakfast to your Hotel the tour will depart to Manyara Maasai Boma. This is one of our most popular Culture tours in the Maasai tribe, which is based around a traditional Maasai Boma (dwelling). This tour is led by Maasai local guide and you will be told about tribal customs and the methods in which they build their dwellings. The village you visit still preserve the traditional Maasai way of life and you will be enthralled by the truly wonderful and inspiring tales that these people will tell you about their history and way of life. You will also get a chance to learn how the Maasai women make their beautifully colored and intricate jeweler. The money raised from the sale of their traditional jeweler goes directly back into the local community. In addition, when you join our Maasai Boma trip you will be able to watch a traditional welcome dance – something truly special that is sure to become a lifelong memory. Being up close and personal with nature while walking with a Maasai guide along the deeply spiritual trails their predecessors have trodden for hundreds and hundreds of years is an experience that will surely become the highlight of your visit to this magnificent country. Day 8:Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park

Distance: 59.1km 
Non – game viewing time : 1 hr

After breakfast the tour departs to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing.Late afternoon transfer to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight.
