DAY 01: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania.On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you’ll meet your safari guide/driver who will transfer you to Arusha city to your allocated accommodation as requested for dinner and overnight. You will get chance for briefing and introduction about your safari before your dinner.

DAY 02:Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Distance: 130 km
Non game-viewing travel time: 2½ hours
After breakfast to your hotel the tour will depart to Lake Manyara National Park. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Late afternoon you’ll drive to Karatu for Dinner and overnight at your Allocated accommodation as requested.

DAY 03: Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti Plains
Distance: 205 Km
Non game-viewing travel time: 5 hours
After breakfast you head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you’ll descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. You head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. During early evening you’ll start to drive back to your allocated accommodation as requested for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 04: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti Plains.
After breakfast you enjoy a full day game drive with lunch at the lodge, along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The visitor’s center not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed center, offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The center also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. You’ll enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the center in the shade of the giant acacia trees. During early evening you’ll start to drive back to your allocated accommodation as requested for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 05:Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Crater
Distance: 145 km
Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours
After breakfast you’ll continue your safari in the Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley you might be lucky to see predators hunt as animals gather at the waters during the dry season. After lunch at a picnic spot you will slowly drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the crater you will have a superb view of the caldera. This approximate 20 km wide crater is part of an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 20,000 animals. You will stay at your Allocated accommodation as requested on the crater rim from where you’ll be able to enjoy an incredible sunset.

DAY 06: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
After breakfast you descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. Early evening you head back to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight at Allocated accommodation as requested.

DAY 07: Karatu to Manyara Maasai Boma to Arusha.

After breakfast to your Hotel the tour will depart to Manyara Maasai Boma. This is one of our most popular Culture tours in the Maasai tribe, which is based around a traditional Maasai Boma (dwelling). This tour is led by Maasai local guide and you will be told about tribal customs and the methods in which they build their dwellings. The village you visit still preserve the traditional Maasai way of life and you will be enthralled by the truly wonderful and inspiring tales that these people will tell you about their history and way of life. You’ll also get a chance to learn how the Maasai women make their beautifully colored and intricate jeweler. The money raised from the sale of their traditional jeweler goes directly back into the local community. In addition, when you join our Maasai Boma trip you will be able to watch a traditional welcome dance – something truly special that is sure to become a lifelong memory. Being up close and personal with nature while walking with a Maasai guide along the deeply spiritual trails their predecessors have trodden for hundreds and hundreds of years is an experience that will surely become the highlight of your visit to this magnificent country. DAY 08:Karatu to Tarangire National Park
Non game-viewing travel time: 3½ hours
Distance: 155 km
After breakfast you depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch you’ll continue with your game drive until late afternoon where you’ll start your safari to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight at your allocated accommodation as requested.

DAY 09: Karatu to Lake Eyasi.

Walking Tour
After breakfast you’ll heard to Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You’ll visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be organized after those activities . Late afternoon you’ll start your safari to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight at your allocated accommodation as requested.
